All beaches in Puerto Rico are public, so tread as you please! Here’s a list of a few of our favorites on the NE coast & nearest Casa Tuya.

La Posita Beach - A tranquil, family-friendly beach with calm waters, perfect for swimming and picnics. Limited Parking nearby.
Pinones Beach - Surrounded by mangroves, this beach is great for nature lovers and features a scenic boardwalk. Paid parking.
Vacia Talega Beach - A hidden gem with natural pools and lush vegetation. Roadside Parking.

Playa de Luquillo - Stationed behind the Kioskos, this is great for an afternoon filled with food, drinks & watersports.
La Pared Beach - A favorite spot for surfers with strong waves. Nearby parking and plenty of local food options within walking distance.

13 Miles, 25 min
Seven Seas Beach - A picturesque cove with crystal-clear waters, excellent for snorkeling and water sports. Paid parking lot.

Playa Las Picuas
0.5 Mile, 5 min
This is the closest beach & the one you see from Casa Tuya. You can drive to the Wyndham & tell the gate that you’re going to the hotel or a restaurant on site. There is beachfront parking as you circle around the property (near the pool). Park in the grass or lot and walk right onto the beach, We recommend walking to the right for great sunrises & views of the river. Walk to the left for a stellar sunset. Alternate access from “La Playita” - park on the road.

Culebra is known for its outstanding beaches, including one that regularly appears on lists of the best beaches in the world: Flamenco beach. Tamarindo beach is also great for snorkeling.

Vieques Island offers several stunning beaches known for their natural beauty and bioluminescent bay. Access Vieques by ferry or small plane from Puerto Rico. La Chiva Beach in Vieques is often ranked as one of the best beaches in the Caribbean.
